Walking Together in Mission
The Emmaus Partners Programme brings together all those whose lives have been touched by the ministry of Emmaus Centre and who desire to support its mission of spiritual renewal, formation, healing, and evangelization.
As partners, we become stewards of a ministry that has transformed countless lives and continues to be a place where people encounter Christ, deepen their faith, and discover renewed purpose.
our story
Emmaus Centre was founded on 4th December 1990 through the vision and dedication of Mr. Joseph Aouno and Fr. Ernest Sievers, M.Afr.For many years, the Centre grew under missionary leadership, becoming a place of prayer, formation, retreats, and ongoing spiritual development.
A significant milestone came on 21st July 2009, when Fr. Sievers departed Uganda for another mission assignment. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in which the responsibility for nurturing, sustaining, and developing Emmaus Centre was entrusted fully to Ugandans.
Today, Emmaus Centre continues to flourish through the commitment of its staff, supporters, alumni, benefactors, and friends who believe in its mission and work together to ensure its growth for future generations.
