who we are

National Catholic Charismatic Renewal Centre for Discipleship and Evangelization in Uganda.

Born from the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and remaining fully within the life and teaching authority of the Roman Catholic Church, the Centre exists to respond to the urgent need for ongoing formation of the People of God—especially the lay faithful—for the mission of the New Evangelization. Located in Kasana–Luweero Diocese, approximately 50 kilometers from Kampala along the Bombo–Gulu Highway, Emmaus Centre serves not only Uganda but the wider AMECEA region and beyond.

Our growth & impact

Over the years, the Centre has trained hundreds of pastoral agents and served thousands through retreats, seminars, marriage and family programs, youth outreach, clergy renewal, and leadership formation. Many graduates now serve as catechists, teachers, community leaders, and evangelizers across Africa and beyond, contributing to spiritual renewal, stronger marriages, youth empowerment, and community transformation.

Under the pastoral care of the Local Ordinary of Kasana-Luweero and the trusteeship of the Uganda Episcopal Conference, Emmaus Centre continues to stand as a beacon of discipleship, renewal, and faithful service to the wider Church.

help is our main goal!

Our mission continues to grow through the generosity, prayers, and partnership of people who believe in forming disciples and transforming lives. By supporting Emmaus Centre, you become part of a vision that nurtures faith, educates children, strengthens families, promotes holistic healing, and equips missionary disciples for the Church and society. Your contribution — whether through prayer, service, or giving — helps sustain formation programs, support vulnerable students, expand outreach ministries, and develop essential facilities that serve the wider community. Together, we can build a future rooted in faith, hope, and love.

Our New campain

Join us in building a gateway of hope

As Emmaus Centre continues to grow as a place of formation, education, healing, and evangelization, we are undertaking the construction of a new entrance gate. The gate will stand as a symbol of welcome, security, and identity — marking Emmaus as a sacred space where lives are transformed and communities are strengthened. This project will enhance safety for students, staff, visitors, and all who come seeking spiritual renewal. We invite you to partner with us in building this gateway of hope by supporting this campaign through prayer, generosity, and shared mission.
