A Catholic institute that offers on-going formation to the laity in order to have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and transformation of character in the power of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of evangelisation. We envision a generation of missionary disciples rooted in prayer, formed in truth.
Emmaus formation is to offer the urgently needed on-going formation. We do this by empowering, motivating and equipping the laity to live gospel values for effective witness in word and deed. Through intentional formation we nurture disciples who lead with faith, integrity, and servant-hearted leadership.
To offer a concrete response to the call of Mother Church through these Synods by offering ongoing pastoral formation to Catholic laity which empowers them to become light of the world and salt of the earth so that Christianity becomes a way of life whose impact can be felt all around.
Formation at Emmaus Centre Katikamu is a journey of encounter, transformation, and mission. We believe that disciples are not born overnight — they are formed through prayer, community, teaching, and lived experience.
Our Institute of Discipleship & Formation exists to nurture a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ, shape character in the power of the Holy Spirit, and equip the laity to live the Gospel boldly in their families, parishes, workplaces, and society.
