MISSION
Emmaus centre exisists to contribute to the personal renewal of the christian life of individuals, families, parishes, dioceses and of society as a whole through holistic evangelization. We nurture disciples who lead with faith, integrity, and servant-hearted leadership.

The core values are prayer, love, forgiveness, desire for holiness, intercultural, communiction, stewardship , teamwork and hospitality. inorder to offer a concrete response to the call of Mother Church through these Synods by offering ongoing pastoral formation to Catholic laity

Formation at Emmaus Centre Katikamu is a journey of encounter, transformation, and mission. We believe that disciples are not born overnight — they are formed through prayer, community, teaching, and lived experience.
Our Institute of Discipleship & Formation exists to nurture a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ, shape character in the power of the Holy Spirit, and equip the laity to live the Gospel boldly in their families, parishes, workplaces, and society.
Here, faith is not simply taught — it is lived, discerned, and embodied.
long term formation
This is the long term program that targets Baptized and confirmed Catholics aged between 20-55 years old to attain growth in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ , discernment: seeking and responding to God’s will, One’s personal identity in Christ, One’s sense of unity; being integrated in Christian community, the Church, family of God. Self-leadership that is characterized by: responsibility, initiative, and pro activity i.e. break dependence mentality.

Short term formation
Each programme is prayerfully designed to deepen faith, strengthen understanding of Church teaching, and empower participants to live as courageous witnesses of Christ.
Faith Formation for Every Season of Life
Our Short-Term Programmes are designed to serve the wider community, parishes, families, and Emmaus entities through focused formation experiences lasting up to six weeks. These include;
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit seminars
- Marriage and family enrichment
- Youth formation programmes
- Parish leadership development
- Catechetical renewal sessions
- Healing and deliverance ministries.

The “Come and See” Programme is a discernment experience for those who feel called to deeper formation but are not yet sure where to begin. It is an invitation — not a commitment — to explore whether God may be calling you to a deeper journey of discipleship.
